Transform urban education and teach at Perspectives Charter Schools. Founded in 1997 by two Chicago Public School teachers who believe that education is the great equalizer, Perspectives operates five open-enrollment, tuition-free public schools serving grades 6-12. Currently, we educate more than 2,300 students and employ 300 professionals, including 163 education staff.
What makes Perspectives unique is our signature social-emotional learning curriculum A Disciplined Life® -- dedicated to preparing students for success in college and life.
Perspectives has built an impressive track record of accelerating student growth in both academics and character development. On account of our committed educators, we effectively doubled the graduation rate for neighborhood students in Auburn Gresham in just four years. Perspectives high school graduates go to college, and they persist in college at a rate above the national average for all students.
